Graduates of top business schools prefer job opportunities abroad to jobs in domestic companies, says a study by AC Nielsen. Foreign companies such as Accenture, Nokia, McKinsey, Barclays Bank, Deutsche Bank and Google are some of the leading recruiters of management students graduating from institutes such as the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Xavier Labour Research Institute (XLRI) and Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) Delhi. These companies offer close to double the salaries offered by their Indian counterparts.The AC Nielsen Campustrack Survey 2007 shows that the Tata Administrative Service (TAS), India?s Tata Group?s administrative services recruitment arm is third on the list of the top ten most preferred recruiters in 2007. TAS recruits personnel for various companies, industries, functions, and geographies. It has been ranked ahead of global investment banking giant Goldman Sachs and FMCG major Procter and Gamble (P&G), according to this survey. Only McKinsey & Company and Boston Consulting Group (BCG) were ranked ahead of them.
 
UGC proposed as sole regulatory authority

Voicing these opinions at an educational conference, chancellors, vice-chancellors and other authorities said that the University Grant Commission (UGC) should have the sole regulatory authority for universities.
